Can I Install the MT1 GPS alarm myself?
The Mt1 has been designed and manufactured to be installed by you in a few short and easy steps. The MT1 unit has built in antennas and just three cables making it simple to install. The alarm and GPS function is programmed with help of our free app on your Smartphone or by an SMS message that you send to the MT1 unit.
The Mt1 can be installed by our engineer team at an additional cost should you feel it maybe to difficult. When connecting the MT1 to a 12v power supply it is recommended that a competent person complete the installation to avoid any un-necessary ris of electrick shock.
How Do I Pay For & Activate The Data On The Sim Card?
The MT1 is is delivered with a SIM card already installed, in addition to this there are no monthly payment fees. The data comes in an all inclusive package priced at €59.00. This means you pay a fixed price for the GSM-traffic each year.
Why did we do this?
1)The Camtrak MT1 GPS-alarm unit is completely encapsulated to be water proof and tolerant against vibrations. This means however that there are no openings to install and connect your own SIM-card.
2) Pay as you go-cards are neither reliable and the biggest insurance companies do not recommend this practice. This is because if you run out of credit on the Pay as you go-card the alarm system will not work
